Perming
A permanent waving/curling method to add body, movement or curl to the hair. Hair is assessed for strength and health - technician will advise depending on condition.
Colouring
Great way to enhance a hair cut and add body to the hair or some creative appeal to the total look. Strand tests are given to new clients to assure no allergy or reaction will occur to colour.
Many different colouring techniques, including:
- Whole head colour- using, semi-permanent or permanent tints to colour the whole head/ cover grey, enhance facial features/ bring out the cut
- Foil highlights
- Partial colouring
Long Hair Designs / Special Occasions / Weddings
Nurture are specialists in long hair up do’s and creative hair designs, take pride in working with hair to enhance its natural ability and are happy to work with extended pieces to add more length and body to the hair.
Hair can be tonged, curled, straightened, put half up or all up depending on client preference. Many different styles are possible – a trial of a desired look can be given before-hand.
Hair cutting and finishing
Free consultation and assessment of clients' hair. Various cutting techniques such as graduation (layering), slicing, feathering, blunt, twisting are used to cut and style the hair and then the appropriate tools and products are used to style and finish the look.
Blow-drying and styling
Hair will be washed and nourished with appropriate shampoo and conditioner and dried according to desired effect and hair type/texture.
Childrens' Cuts
Keep hair healthy and tidy. Children can have many different cuts or styles according to their hair, face shape and suitability (with parental permission.)
Male Grooming
Cuts provided to reduce length and can add shape and movement – often using softer lines than that of a traditional barber. Clippers are used for shorter more precise looks. Hair is finished with wax, fibre cream, gel or moulding cream.
Other Male grooming techniques are the covering of grey as well as adding more wave to the hair when the hair could use some added body.
